The nose opens with sweet black currant, vanilla and toast highlights, along with a tantalizing aroma of spices. While the 2014 Unwritten dazzled with purity of fruit, the 2015 has an impressive cashmere like texture on the palate, showing beautifully integrated flavors of blackberry, cassis, espresso and toast. The finish is exceptionally long, providing an additional 30+ seconds of enjoyment. Elegant and subtle flavors of anise, spice and espresso bean support the primary flavors, with perfectly balanced acid and tannins providing the structure that will allow this to age effortlessly for 10-20 years, promising many years of delight.
